A Captcha is the practice of forcing a user to entering digits into the website to prove that the user is
human and not an automated bot. When submitting details or logging into systems malicious bots will try and
gain access, If a Captcha is used the likelihood that the bot will gain access or submit details are less
likely. Captcha’s usually take the form of an image with distorted text which the user can enter into a field.
Some spam bots can now use OCR to scan these images and make a computed guess on which digits to use.
The more distorted the digits the more affective the Captcha.
WebSafe will test for Captcha Strength:
A technician will manually inspect Captcha’s on client websites to ensure they are strong enough
to prevent automated website submissions.
